Darling Nightgowns

I have always had a deep appreciation for vintage-inspired, white cotton nightgowns, thanks to my mother’s influence, and now that we are spending so much time at her lovely country home I have been wearing them more than ever. Here are my current favorite nightgowns in all different price ranges to sleep in, nap in, or just mill about the house on a lazy day.

For affordable (under $50) options I like to scour ebay. Here are a few I found (but as they are vintage they may sell out!): this vintage Liz Claiborne one, this one, and this one.

This is also a very affordable option but as it is such a low price I am not sure what the quality would be like (the reviews are good though so maybe worth a shot!)

I also LOVE the affordable pieces by Feathers Clothing. I discovered them at the Sawdust Festival in Laguna Beach last summer and they are divine. Handmade with 100% handkerchief cotton, they feel soft and delicate like real vintage. I own this one (pictured below) and it’s one of my favs but I also love this sleeveless version of it and this adorable top and short set that I will definitely be getting once it gets a bit warmer here.

The price range I prefer to shop for nightgowns is mid-range (under/around $100) and mostly includes these April Cornell beauties: The Virginia Swiss Dot Nighty, The Victorian Dream Nighty, The Prairie Nighty, The Bronte Nighty, and, of course, the beautiful Clothilde Nighty my mother gifted me (pictured below). I also REALLY adore this Caroline Nap Dress by Hill House Home as well. The White Company also has some lovely ones like this Cotton Tiered Nightgown and this Cotton Broderie Nightgown.

There are some beautiful nightgowns in the higher range as well and if you have the budget like this one by Love Shack fancy and this Clara Nightgown by Doen that I am just in LOVE with – on the pricier side (but oh how beautiful!). I also love the Vivette Nightgown, this green plaid Lovisa Nightgown and this pink/orange plaid Lodge Nightgown by Doen.

ABOUT ME

I'm Hannah, a London-born, California girl and mama of two, Henry (7) and Vivienne (4). Despite the chaos I think they're most amazing little humans in the world (they're also the reason I love wine so much!). My husband, Wiley, is my soul mate and the lead singer of the band Chevy Metal. My life is all about keeping the kids happy, the house tidy, and myself looking and feeling good. I'm starting this blog as a visual diary of my life and the things I love – family, food, fashion and travel. Recently we have relocated to Northern California to a tiny town of 50 people called Eagleville to live out our country living, homeschool fantasy together as a family.
