I love to be the most organized version of myself when I travel. It’s my number one tip for staying sane when flying with children. And as I am always adding to and editing this list, please comment and let me know your must-haves as well!
For an easy time through security I love Truffle’s TSA-approved, clear travel products. The Jetset Case is perfect for cosmetic/beauty products and the Clarity Clutch is great for documents/passports/ itinerary/tickets. They’re beautiful and functional and then you’re not throwing all your liquids into a plastic bag at the last minute. Ain’t nobody got time for that.
Aside from the essentials like a phone charger, SLIP silk eye mask, and headphones I always bring a loungewear set (if it’s an overnight flight) and fresh clothes for arrival.
Once the kids are in their cute pajama sets and settled down with their movies I like to get into my loungewear and cozy socks and give my skin some much needed TLC (the airplane air really gets to my skin if I don’t keep it hydrated). After removing my makeup with wet wipes I apply my all-time fav True Botanicals Radiance Oil and jade roll my face (this really helps to combat that dry airplane air).
After waking from hopefully a few good hours thanks to my SLIP silk eye mask (my fav – it’s so soft and beautiful), I use the Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Eye Mask for 15 minutes. It really helps to de-puff and wake my skin for landing. After that, I spray some Herbivore Rose Hibiscus Hydrating Face Mist and apply minimal, fresh makeup. Dry shampoo (love this travel size one by Amika) and a mini hairbrush is a must for me to get my hair in line after a 10-hour flight and it’s always nice to have fresh clothes for a new city. Not only does this little ritual of mine keep me looking and feeling good it also helps me pass the time and amuse myself. Stay tuned next week for my Airplane Essentials – Kid Edition post.
