I love a good theme! Which is why I was so excited when I got an invitation to a Surprise Roaring 20s Birthday Party to celebrate my dear friend Claire Bryett Andrew’s 20th. Claire and Lily are two absolutely gorgeous, magical, wild sisters. They have a ridiculously long list of things they are good at: acting, photography, belly dancing, painting, taming wild horses…you get the idea. They even have their own blog www.TheWildflowerSisters.com where they let you in on their interesting lives (I always feel like Laurie spying on the Little Women when I read it).
Anyways, back to the party. As I had little time to pick out an outfit I hesitantly tried Amazon Prime – I was so pleasantly surprised when I opened this gorgeous dress (for under $30!). The beads, the color, the fit – it was perfect! I also ordered this black feather headpiece for a final touch.
My sisters and I arrived at the Rosewood Manor in our 20s finest.
After the grand “Surprise!” entrance by Claire we drank champagne and dined on vegan Indian food in the large banquette hall filled with flowers, candles, and mirrors.
Dinner was followed by the most gorgeous and delicious vegan cake and cupcakes from Karma Bakery.
Just when we thought the party couldn’t get any better a shot rang out and someone suddenly appeared to be dead at the table – that’s when the Murder Mystery began!
We spent the rest of the evening running all over the manor in two teams finding clues and putting together riddles to solve the mystery – the whole production was filled with drama, plot twists, props, and mystery.
After the murder was solved we finished the night off with more champagne and dancing – I truly haven’t had that much fun in ages! Highly recommend this for a theme party!
Awww so fun!!!
